Please consider you start a online social network with tools from builder like ning.com, grou.ps or wall.fm. You spend months attracting members, authoring content and sending news updates to registered interests but your newsletter could use a :POP:!

So you read about a new start-up with a simple yet provocative interface. You make your first newsletter;

Click on link for website. See the newsletter.

When attempt to send 88 members the copy, encounter a redirection to your drafts folder and a flashing notice in red that the newsletter needs statement of 'connection to recipients' and necessary before forward to the addresses.

The notice says in rather four hours the draft review should be considered. I assume the copy would automatically be forwarded .. but it sat for two days in drafts so inquired about it.. my email reply from [email protected] fills a box three times over with simple message..'send now'.

SO after emptying the duplicate responses to trash.. I sent 88 of my registered members a newsletter. Fifteen minutes later receive triplicate [email protected] email stating my account is suspended for 'suspected spamming'.

thus... my New Year's resolution for 2011.. blogspotting for public considerations about these occurrences, happening more and more with young, energetic and "hip hopers" entrepreneur sites. So few and so small are these accounts, there is time spent intruding on your privacy and content. Thought police...

“Alien” Prequel to Feature Gay Sex?

Just in time for Halloween, there has been a script leak of the upcoming Alien prequel that will begin shooting next year. Why this might of interest of our fabbits is because the script supposedly features sex between two male slave farmers. The site, What’s Playing, leaked the script before Fox made them remove it, but this is how they described the scene:

“The script (by John Spaihts and recently rewritten by Damon Lindelof) tells of the space jockeys traveling from planet to planet and terraforming them. The space jockeys are holding captive of two human slave farmers named Fin and Karik and force them (via mind control) to engage in sexual activity. (The twist: they’re both male).

The aliens are used by the space jockeys (known as “Growers” in the script) in their terraforming processes as some sort of biological tools. The signature alien won’t appear until the latter half of the film when it fully develops into it (this hints that we’ll be seeing different and new forms of aliens).”

The aliens don’t understand human reproduction and therefore can’t comprehend why one of the males isn’t reproducing. Whether this scene makes it to the final film or not, it’s interesting to bring the gay element into the Alien films, even if it is through mind control.

Will this make you go see the new Alien film or were you gonna pre-order your tickets anyway?

This is in response to a thread at my 'webcam social' no. 2's
technical and staff blog and social network. This is grou.ps, a worthy
and mostly free but starting to expand into monetizing the product.
This was just brought in my other discussion "Don't Shoot the
Messenger, please" about wall.fm and xitti.com.

Both will begin unveiling the path to income from formerly premium
services rendered at no cost. Most of the posts quick replies in blog
on day one were adamant and short about a replay of 'ning.com  circa
January 2009'.

Okay, I just read about tremendous technological changes in streaming
more activity data for my members in this free social network.
However, if you are supporting this blog post your probably seen the
names of many writers of grou.ps pass through here.. these folks need
to get paid and as the outsource social network tools become third-
party or integrated, either direction, is going to cost.

In November, another reputable social network builder that was beta
for two years and opened a channel with it's own domain for social
networks of adult content, also in beta, both move to ALPHA in
November as well. Besides grou.ps this one too is the only worthy

How much a price can you place on intelligence...it runs greedy but
not shamelessly for your dollars just for your attention as the best.
Grou.ps is in my standard of review, experience and criteria possibly
the best builder out here in web 2.0. You should use every opportunity
to promote your favorite web tools, apps and since your all here on
DAY ONE of this posting I imagine don't have to tell you be the
'messenger' for change among your peers?
