1980s NEW WAVE CINEMA: Married to the Mob - MY REVIEW at netflix.com

TOP TEN list of all time favorite films with one of my generations most endearing and prolific actresses rising from a early 1980s film debut and landing choice roles while improving on ability and range of performance with each role, Michelle Pfeiffer.

A talented concept from director Jonathan Demme who already was a darling of critical acclaim for delivering edgy and nuanced cinema that was ideologically pure 1980s new wave and sharpening his claws with each product. Noted for one of the best concert films of that decade TALKING HEADS "stop making sense" and a screwball comedy on the skids near Jersey shores with Melanie Griffith and Jeff Daniels called "SOMETHING WILD". IN forthcoming years after MOB the director, Demme, will receive his reward for directing and adapting Thomas Harris's SILENCE OF THE LAMBS starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins [Oscar winner for 'Hannibal Lecter'].

Great cast includes Dean Stockwell, Alec Baldwin, Matthew Modine and a harem of actresses in choice cameo and supporting roles including Joan Cusack. Casting Mercedes Ruhl was like discovering a 'skeleton key' to Pandora's box with her tightly nuanced and terrific range of character aggression bigger than the mob's bosses.

Demme consistently cultivates talent and resumes sharing his creation with former collegues like TAK FUJIMOTO, cinematographer. Demme selectively chooses the pop songs on the film's soundtrack. Most notably these collections of tunes are signature eighties time capsules. Often giving breaks to musicians-turned-actors, Demme cast rising crooner Chris Isaak in the role of FBI undercover "clown" at drive-up fast food chain  in MOB sometime before Isaak's signature ballad "WICKED GAME" was written and cued forebodingly in David Lynch's WILD AT HEART [ Nicholas Cage and Laura Dern ].

The site and sounds of Pfeiffer's NYC when her character changes address from Jersey to a slumlord's vacancy is vibrant with skid row elements meeting set dressing of cheap carnival cultural community and forced celebration on the rocks. Edgy and nervous single motherhood in the heart of urban chaos yet Demme makes it feel like a favorite vinyl album with the needle on the record.

Go with the flow of this screwball mob parody and budding romantic comedy with a sharp witty landscape of element and personalities. RUN to a vintage music store with dusty collections of abandoned cd collections and search for the memorable time capsule soundtrack soon.

As I have blogged in two years, women are joining the site at a ratio of 1:43 males here. Mostly straight males are joining and your 'webmaster' is bisexual but dedicated to finding the link to bringing the 'ladies on board.'

IT has a bit to do with money! You see women do not mostly webcam without asking for a pay-per-view fee or at a very trusted and monitored webcam chat room. The best chat rooms, with women who webcam with men for free, are using a downloaded desktop application. Most include a free version that is 'stunted' and the real action requires a purchase of the application and subscription fee.

Please consider you start a online social network with tools from builder like ning.com, grou.ps or wall.fm. You spend months attracting members, authoring content and sending news updates to registered interests but your newsletter could use a :POP:!

So you read about a new start-up with a simple yet provocative interface. You make your first newsletter;

Click on link for website. See the newsletter.

When attempt to send 88 members the copy, encounter a redirection to your drafts folder and a flashing notice in red that the newsletter needs statement of 'connection to recipients' and necessary before forward to the addresses.

The notice says in rather four hours the draft review should be considered. I assume the copy would automatically be forwarded .. but it sat for two days in drafts so inquired about it.. my email reply from [email protected] fills a box three times over with simple message..'send now'.

SO after emptying the duplicate responses to trash.. I sent 88 of my registered members a newsletter. Fifteen minutes later receive triplicate [email protected] email stating my account is suspended for 'suspected spamming'.

thus... my New Year's resolution for 2011.. blogspotting for public considerations about these occurrences, happening more and more with young, energetic and "hip hopers" entrepreneur sites. So few and so small are these accounts, there is time spent intruding on your privacy and content. Thought police...
